6n2 front wings - all the same?

Featured Replies

I'm trying to find a replacement front wing for my 2000 6n2 TDi SE, however I notice that on the E and maybe S models the wing also forms part of the sill. Whereas on my SE the sill is a full length panel and seems to stick out more than the lower specs.

I'm not sure if that makes sense ... on an E 6n2 there is a line in the sill which follows down from the end of the front wing, behind where the mudflap would be. On the SE there is no line as the sill is a full section.

My question is does the SE & GTi use different wings to the E spec or does the wing fit behind the sill on the SE?

The wing I have found is that for a lower spec and has the extra bit on the wing for the sill, my wing seems to end at the sill and is not part of it.

Thanks!

Wow never thought about this! Thinking back to my 6n2 the bottom of the wing goes into/behind the sill. Where as, like you say the E it's part of the sill. I need to know this because I need a new wing.

Thanks for the reply!

So, we think the wings are all the same but on the SE it fits behind the solid sill?

I'm trying to avoid getting the wrong but but can't find a wing without the bottom piece in my Polos colour - Bright Green (which isnt really!)

You never should have gotten rid of the Arosa.

If you're after a passenger side wing PM me and I'll see about sorting you one out in the right colour.

You can bring me a Parmo up too.

Yeah, the Arosa went a good while ago, I've had three.

This Polo has been in the family from new and when it was about to be traded in a few months ago I aquired it. Its not my only car but its a great little hack.

PM sent.
