Well, it's a polo chassis.... My Fabia diesel

Featured Replies

I have owned my Fabia for almost 10 years now and it began life as a PD100 TDI - Same as you get in the 9N Polo.

To cut a long story short, I sought to get as much power as possible over the years and it's gone through a couple of stages

1) stock - didn't last long

2) remapped - 150bhp

3) PD130 conversion with stage 2 hybrid turbo, stock - 150bhp

4) Mapped stage 3) above - 221bhp

5) VNT20 turbo with some other mods - circa 240bhp

6) Blew that at the Ring, Went GTB2260vk + big injectiors - max 275bhp

7) Hybrid'ed the 2260vk, and now tuning it. Current best dyno 315bhp

The car has been evolving over time so all other mods have been done where necessary and as necessary, but there's probably still more to come.

This is the video of my 315bhp run

There's other videos in my channel above from other times I have taken it on track, and earlier dyno runs.

I like these I bet that goes like a bastard.

That's crazy power.

That's mad and I'm glad someone actually uses one of these to its full potential. What do the torque figures look like compared to the hp. Bet it leaves most cars standing?

Well, diesels are known for producing torque below 2000rpm, but mine produced peak torque at 3500 - this means the delivery is much more like a petrol car. This is my 315bhp dyno run. You can see its very undiesel like and laggy low down, but then picks up right to the redline.

And my best 1/4 mile with the tune still in flux is 13.4 @ 113mph - This is the youtube run. Beaten by a bonkers 240Z, but then it was lighter, more powerful and had RWD too....

Onboard (speed is always about 2 seconds behind due to lag with GPS signal)
