Don't really want to use polo, no need. Garage isn't usable for a car

Thinking of getting a decent car cover, a fitted one for a mk2f ideally.

But something that's not going to ruin the car, ie scratch it/dink it, and survive winter and wind etc. ideally one which I can access the car and start it regularly etc.

Any recommendations ??

I would avoid, they seem to just trap water under them, girlfriend has one on her car in her leaky garage, doesn't get driven and is rusting under it.

My volvo is in the same garage uncovered and fine.

Maybe this is just a personal observation, and maybe only applies to water, ie perhaps there are other weather factors not present in the leaky garage.

I've seen more trouble from them really

lots of cars getting blisters where they trap a bit of damp under then , covers are okay if youve cleaned the car up for a show and need to cover it for a day or two but not weeks

clean it up well and wax the paint , then try and wash and dry it weekly or when you can , crack the windows and tailgate open on a dry day to air the inside

Yeah I know they're problematic. Just thought someone may have designed a good one but it appears that may not be the case lol!

I'll try find a garage or just leave it to rot probably :)

Can you not get one of the car tents that machine mart sell ?

Can spend over £100 on a 'breathable' one but heard no reviews so a bit skeptical really :(

I would only ever use a breathable cover ( got one on my mk1 cab it is in a barn so its just to keep the shit off and it fine) non breathable ones will cause the paint to blister without a doubt. you get what you pay for throw the crap out the garage and put the car in it its what its for!!!
