My 1991 coupe GT just failed its MoT. Lower joint on front drivers side wheel bearing housing. Number 13 on the diagram. Help please. Let me know if you have one to offer. Cost and post paid as soon as possible. Joint on the pinch bolt gone.

Contacted 1st choice in Cardiff. They say they have one on a breadvan H registration. Have a look tomorrow.

Collected a front drivers side hub from 1st Choice in Cardiff this morning. Came from a 1991 breadvan. Should be compatible part. Donor car had done 60,000. My car has done 103,000 so it should work. Left part with the garage to strip. Booked car in for work and retest next week. Hope this isn't going to cost too much. Wrong time of year for the project to go bad. We'll see?

what exactly failed? was it damaged? seams extremely odd for that to fail

It was the lower ball joint on the pinch bolt. The car dropped into an open manhole years ago when the weather had been particularly wet. Damaged a rim, tyre and upper ball joint. Must have been a left over from that incident. Just picked the car up today. Cost me £80 for the labour to put used parts on the car. Took a lot of fiddling to make it fit apparently. Airvolks in Blackwood did another superb job for me. Thanks to Gareth and Mark.

Car drives like a dream. Tightened up all the front end cutting out a lot of the famous front end noises for this mark.

Resurrection time. Can anyone help with a part number for the mk2f GT front bearing carrier/hub/strut carrier assy? I've got 867 412 025 C and ...026 C as a starting point, but both are listed on sites as Mk1.
