Hi, Just joined the site as I'm after a bit of help...Previously owned a couple of golfs being 1.4, 1.9 tdi and 1.9 gt tdi 115...

Looking to either purchase another gt tdi 115 or possibly downsizing to a polo gti...
Just wanted to see if anyone had any decent build threads, any advice on what to look out for..I'll link in the 2 different model ages I'm looking at...What sort of tax banding am I looking at and also MPG is a big factor as my current car ( which is something i'd prefer not to disclose due to it being so horrific and shameful) is getting around the 45-50mpg motorway and 30mpg around the city?

Any help is very much appreciated before hand!!

This is the first choice, but as of yet am finding it tricky to get one with less than 40,000 miles on it which isn't crazily overpriced

I've just bought myself a Polo GTI 6R and my god its quick, if you can afford personally Id recommend it and tune up from there
