1.3GT and dyno matched cbr600 carb setup!

Featured Replies

Hello!

i purchased this engine around a year ago from jim (runforestrun) off here when i planned to put it in my mk2 saloon,

however due to insurance and not having much time to complete the conversion, as i planned a smoothed bay etc, i never got round to fitting it,

then i thought instead of messing with a few more bhp i would try get a g40 as money was the issue previously, however since this I've now sold my polo so the engines just sat in the garage all nice and ready to go!

heres some pics! looks the sex...

i have got a 4-2-1 which i can include for a little extra as i may need the 4-2-1 for my g40 so not really wanting to sell!

however!

It's running 85hp at the wheels so that's over 100 at the fly and have dyno graph for this where the carbs were perfectly twinned with the engine for best power.

any more questions p.m me or text: 07720 885482

PRICE IS £550 ono! not desperate to get rid just would free some money towards other project!

Location is evesham, worcestershire!

thhankksss!

My old engine.

Its a 3F block and head, I was told it was on about 60k when i bought it, and I did 8k in it.

Before fitting it, I had the head skimmed (5 thou taken off), 3 angle valve seats done, brand new valves, guides and stem seals. The head has double valve springs (not all GT's have this). I also gave the ports a light going over with a cartridge roll to remove the casting marks.

When I fitted it I also refaced the sump and used a new gasket (also has the 3 flywheel end bolts converted to socket heads). It also had a new cambelt.

Had a brand new clutch as well.

The Gearbox is an 8P - which had it's oil changed.

Carbs wise - they are CBR 600 F3 carbs, using 170 jets (dynojet) which I stripped down and cleaned internally, as well as being balanced to the engine using a carbtune pro

Manifold wise - it's a steel manifold with vacuum takeoffs - lots of time was taken over this and it shows. It's also port matched to the inlet.

This is an engine that is proven power. It was rolling roaded by PDQ in Slough and it was rated at 85hp at the wheels - meaning over 100 at the fly.

I averaged 40mpg, but have got 45 on a good run.

I was driving the car every day to do a 40 mile round trip.

Hello! I'm searching for a carb setup and a 4-2-1 manifold for my GK... Do you sell it separately?!

Thanks in advance!

How much would you sell the carb setup for? If you will split?

so it all there loom etc

Edited by mk3polo

It's all there. You use your mk2 dizzy/ignition circuit/loom
