my polo 6n 1995 drivers window goes down at normal speed but when i put it up it goes really slowely and stops hal way and i have to 'help it out' with my hand. is it worth £40 and buying a new motor or is it something else?

Basically the goal is to disassemble the whole thing and lube it and check for grime or dirty gears?

Thks for video. Mine works a little slow, go I might give it a go.

Its about a set of a new toothed wheel and a tiny wireloom which comes between the original connector and the motor after repairing the toothed wheel.

The wires of that tiny wireloom are resistorcables to take some power away from the motor.

That problem with the toothed wheel only happends that way on the 2 door mk4.

I dunno if thats your problem, just sounds like that.

More likely is that your regulator clip is broken. The one nearest the locking mechanism. Whip your door card off and have a look.

Probably a split in the wires in the door gromits.
