Little Blue Cheap Run Around Mk4

Featured Replies

Hello

Just bought myself this polo off the bay for next to nothing.

Needed it to get to work really to save some fuel, my old merc was costing me fortune so have garaged that for a while.

Had one of these as my first car quite a few years ago and loved it. Brought back loads of memories getting this one. Need to get it decked and get some wheels on it as soon as, feel like I'm driving a 4x4 at the moment.

Here it is

It looks like the previous owner had a prang on the door and sill on the drivers side and then decided to have a go at fixing it badly when they should have just got a new door.

Had a dented rear bumper so got a better one of them sorted first weekend I got it and given it a service. Only got 72000 miles on the clock. Came with some little Ronal alloys with a centre cap missing so if anyone has one of them kicking around would be sweet?

This is my old polo that I owned 6 years ago

Has been given a small service in the meantime as well new plugs, new brakes, new air filter, just gotta change the oil.

Fitted some height adjustable suspension, only the finest of quality of course. Didn't turn out as low as I expected so going to take the helpers out if need be when I fit the wheels. Managed to get a good bit of camber out of the front wheels thou.

Got some 15x7 15x8 mini cooper banded steels 165/50 and 185/45 tyres on order aswell top quality nankangs wouldn't settle for less. The wheels were in a pretty sorry state so I am currently refurbishing them myself, managed to finish one as a test and turned out alright just got 3 more tedious sanding and painting jobs to do.
