  • It's alive! This gearbox has got oil in and everything :) About the running order. Can I go about an hour before the end? Reckon that'll be about right for the RAC getting there.

  • The only time you stall a car at traffic lights, is either when you're learning to drive, or your starter motor doesn't work.

Hahahahahahaha.....

does he know what one is?

hahaha!!

Saf, ill have a looooook, Sure i've got a set somewhere, Might be shallow 6n ones though.

Awesomesauce - shallow jobbies are fine homeboy :) If you have the two 19mm nut's you'd be a star too.

Mingebadgers. I'm looking forward to taking over the sammich van again

Due to my brothers caddy needing a new engine, my engine won't be in in time for this :/ I'm pretty gutted I won't be taking it on the rollers but I'd rather it be done properly than rushed.

I'll still be there and going on the rollers, just in the 1.8 T :(

I know I keep on about this but does anyone have a mk3 spi external fuel pump they can bring me? (The one next to fuel filter). Someone must have one lying around.

Thanks!

whats the part number, I'll have a look Liz

Not got a clue, its still on fern as she is driveable but something is making her grumpy. As long as it's not a GT one it will be good as long as it doesn't come with car aids lol

I've got about 6 in a pile, and have an inkling that one is an SPI pump, but no idea on part #'s.

If anyone can help out with the part no, and I do have one, its yours for nowt Liz, for sorting me out that Exhaust for my sisters car (of which she wrote off, before I managed to fit it!)

I'm not bringing a car now

Does anyone know if I can pay for a bit more time to tweak needle heights, and check the AFM? Might as well come away with it tweaked?

They may be alright with that yeah, should only take 10 mins tops to change the needles

I hope so mate, its been jetted with 150's, i've wound the mixtures out one turn and I've balanced carbs with my morgan carbtune but nothing else has been touched. Runs really well though so i'm not expecting miracles.

Yeah that should be ok. It might be worth giving the a bell tomorrow and see what they say! And if you can get down there first thing its normally quieter :)

To be honest Iv fucked around a lot and you'll be surprised that some things don't make the difference you'd imagine - weather seems to have more of an effect! What's your base timing set at? I also need to write some part numbers down off your car lol

Will do, thanks a lot Mark.
