I've currently got standard 14' steel wheels on the front of my 6n2 and the same wheels on the rear but banded to a 7' with 165/55/14 tyres, they have a nice stretch but not enough for me to get pulled over etc. (see photos)

My question is, what tyre profile should I use to get the same stretch or slightly more on an 8'?

When I bought the wheels they were 7 & 8 x 14' but I'm not currently running the 8's. Next year I want to, the 7's that are on the rear will be moved to the front

you'd probably get away with 195/45/14's or maybe a 185 depending on how low you want to run

I can't see an 8' on a 185/45 on Tyre Stretch but they have a 185/55, looks good.

195/45 does'nt look very stretched at all. 175/50 looks alright

I'm currently quite low, front splitter and part of the exhaust catch on speedbumps

There's a 185x50 by Yoko as far as I know, but a far more common size is 185x55 and that's a good size for a 6n/2, and ideal for 7s or 8s.

go for 195/45, more stretch than that is just silly

Tüv and the tyre companies wont allow fitment of any thing narrower than 195/45 on a 8-14, as it is not safe!

Think you might be right, got 175/50 on my 8.5s..

I'd go for 175/50s :)
