Starter Motor

Featured Replies

Hi, Having trouble with my starter motor. Looked in the Haynes manual it's suggesting that to get to the starter motor, by removing the manafold. Is there a way which is simpler?

Thanks

You can get to all the fixings without removing anything apart from just in clipping the plastic tray type thing that runs over the top of the bell housing. Just because it clips to the starter bolts.

I think you can get it out without taking inlet manifold off too, removing the air box may help you but I don't think you'd need to take the inlet manifold off, but then again last time I changed one I had carbs fitted
