Featured Replies

Hi, just started on this website to get some ideas and to give ideas out to anyone, I drive a polo 6n2 Mk5 in Surf blue (LA5C) and am slowly building it up into a stance show car, enjoy the progress and any questions let me know.

The attached Picture is a day after I brought it will be uploading most bts of work I do :)

Thanks.

Welcome along mate, nice colour that! :hi:

Welcome, looking forward to seeing the updates

Started off doing the easy little bits within few days of having the polo like debadging, being busy finding parts and getting them sorted/picking up :)

At this point sorted some new seats from a scrap polo with the leaver arch so the seat is comfy and sits better, took both out and pressure washed them with some interior foam and a lot of drying time they came up more or less brand new and put them in later on :)

Had to leave it for a while and drive with a bin bag on the drivers but happy with the new ones - (old ones for sale cheap) :)

While the seats were getting on soted GTI clocks and clock surround from a GTI Polo being broke down so fitted them right away and gave them a good clean up and they look good. Also Treated myself and brought a new Pioneer FH-X700BT and fitted it with audio God Pj. (Ill upload a better picture of it in my car tomorrow)

Finally after the last bits were done I started doing some detailing, colour coded the back bump strips and colour coded the back badge with pj, not a lot of people o this but I thin it looks alright.

Both had few coats of Grey Primer and LA5C paint one coat of clear coat done in around an hour.

Looking good. All the little, fairly inexpensive touches help

I added the GTI cup holder and coin tray I got off someone breaking their polo which was handy, also ordered a oem golf chrome switch that looks cool in the polo (photo takes away from it slightly) it matches the clocks and looks pretty cool also ready for when I get hold of some front fog lights, few pictures show this also there's a slightly better image of new double din which has been wired into the boot with 900W sub atm until boot build.

Started detailing the polo last few days, got more primer and black spray and painted few interior bits (Interior light/mirror/mirror connecter/ light visor) black as i've been wanting to as not a huge fan of the cream, the pictures show this better but I do like the new black, thoughts?

how did you get the mirror off and back on without breaking anything :o

Grab hold of the small bit holding the mirror onto the screen and twist it anti clockwise, it might be stiff but does come off :)

Got a cheap 58mm rubber grommet from eBay the other day so I could de wiper the back of the polo, took 10 mins and pretty easy, thanks to Pj. took a few pictures pretty happy with the outcome, want to get a glass tint grommet soon tho.

Good job so far. Did the GTI clocks not mess up the mileage? were they a straight fit?

yeah you take on the milage of the clocks, my car when I got it was on 67k and the clocks were 125K so I can record the difference

You can get the mileage to your original one with vagtacho
