Mk3 Polo Coupe Gt with Air Ride

Featured Replies

Thought i'd make this polo look a little smarter as the previous owners, in my opinion, didnt do the best job at styling it.

Its a '91 alpine white gt with 51k on the clock, havair 2 way air ride set up (apparently £4000s worth...), chipped ecu, and apparently g40 head - not that i wouldve thought that makes any difference? correct me if I'm wrong

i used to own an ep3 civic but little things were going wrong and niggling at me and then to make things worse the insurance was too expensive so saw this on ebay (a lot of you probably recognise it) always wanted air ride, even though its not the most conventional car to have it on, sold the civic and bought this for what i think was worth it - £2200..

so heres how i bought it...

then when i got home, with the spare cash, i bought one of these...

a set of these...

some yellow tint for the headlights and red tint for the tail lights

and heres how its looking at the moment.

Oh I know, there's some arch work coming soon and camber! Just gotta work it all out, I'm new to the vw scene

Yeah fair play is there anything clearly stopping it going down?

Yeah the arch is literally sitting on the arch lol

anyone know what offset my alley cats are? I'm positive these arent the et-7

I saw this on eBay and thought it was a little pricey. I'd rather spend £2200 on a tidy G40 but each to their own.

It does look very clean for a GT though.

The G40 head won't make a difference really. They have sodium filled exhaust valves but that is the only difference.

Good idea with the boot carpet. I like that.

yeah it was the air ride that did it for me, I've always wanted to try it and i quite fancied myself something a bit older too!

yeah i didnt think so about the g40 head! and cheers, I'm quite proud of it

Love the boot carpet! :)

Top car this - I remember when it was sat on some sweet bbs rims. I'm sure it's had thousands spent on it over the years. I was tempted to buy it a few years ago but the service history had not Been lost.

Nice to meet you today dude! And for every one that thinks this doesn't go low it does....

13x7/8 banded steels, done the camber... and swapped out the yellow headlights for standard again...

got a new exhaust in the pipeline but other than that I've run out of ideas... anybody got any suggestions for the next mods? looking at interiors and such but i cant think of anything..
