Just wanted to pop in and say hello as I have joined the forums.

Back in November 2012 I got my first car.. 1.4 6N in Dragon Green (Yes It cost me a bloody bomb on insurance)

It had a fair few miles on the clock.. 111000ish give or take... I bought for only £420... since then I've had cambelt done and it passed it's MOT in November with just one advisory of rust on the door sill! It runs pretty well and the garage showed me that it hardly had any rust underneath.

I drove it to Cornwall and around and back for a week in November and it ran really well, all I can say is I'm glad I took the advice of an old family friend to go VW!

The bodywork isn't the best but I intend to work on it...

I have done some small things over last summer, including swapping the boot out due to a huge dent, debadging, deblading, changing the grill, getting some after market rear lights/indicators.

There is a ton of rust on driver side front door and a lot on window sills of rear doors but scrappy has only quoted me £25 for a whole new door so something to look out for in the summer.

I have some mods in mind but in the meantime I'll be searching through the forums trying to find anwsers for the things I want to do!

Rust is a big issue with the 6n unfortunately, but at least with doors they are easy to swap out for another set!

Thank you! I got quoted £100 for the Sil to be done and painted to black which isn't too bad really! Just the rusty doors to change which I got quoted £20ish a door at a scrappy!
