Wrong track rod end?

Featured Replies

Bought a track rod end off of ebay last year thinking it would fit straight on. It will not go on any further than shown in the picture. Will i need to buy a different one? Or is it just tough to put on? Cars a mk2f

Adjust the other end?

I'm talking about the bit that connects to the suspension unit, it wont go in any further than it is in the picture. adjusting the other end wouldn't make a difference.. Cheers though

Ah okay, your description is pretty vague and I got the impression it wasn't long enough.

Have you put the nut on and tightened it? The actual body of it looks suspiciously larger than usual though.

i had the same problem with mine i brought a cheap one and just wouldn't go all the way in you could bore the hole out to adapt to the new one you have, but if i was you do what i did find the best make/ expensive one and give it a go as mine fitted straight in with no problem once i done that

Don't bore it out whatever you do, the next time you need one it'll be too small.
