Mk 2f breadvan

Featured Replies

H reg 2 tone Mk 2f breadvan will be going to the scrappy unless a member would like it as a project.

It's a 1043 spi.

Good points:- it starts and runs( and that's it) oh, parcel shelf has not been cut!

Bad points:- roof dented, large hole in passenger sill, two tyres are flat (but will hold air for short while)

Interior is from a GT with the 60/40 split rear, will need cleaning up, drivers seat has broken wire for the seat back tilt (spare in original seat), exhaust blows.

The suspension is still holding the car up which is a good sign I suppose.

We now have a newer model and parts are just not compatible.

I can remove small parts but none that will stop the car running as we would need to drive it for the scrapman to have access.

This will be going at the end of the week, I have been offered £120 for scrap as it is a runner.

Just to make certain, there is no tax or MOT so would need to be trailered away.

Please keep all replies on this thread as I don't always get PM's

Cheers

Jon

Well you're in the cars breaking section here mate, if you're wanting to sell it as a project then put it in the cars for sale thread.

  • Author

I was going to do that but I doubt it will sell as a whole, hence in this thread.

More than likely it will be gone to the scrappers by the end of next week.

Is it worth putting in cars for sale section?

trailered from Spain ?

Ooooops, forgot to say, it's in Letham, Angus.

Does this have a slim starter motor?

Hi

I sent a pm regarding a rocker cover bolt and the trim for the interior door handle drivers side

Cheers

Also does it have the plastic rad cover? :) thanks

  • Author

PM replied to. Will be checking the other items this morning.

Jon

Does it just have the interior of a GT? I'm looking for a cam..

Any luck with the slim starter?

  • Author

No, sorry not the slim starter.

Yep only GT interior.

Can do the plastic trim piece from drivers door, can't do the rocker cover bolt as needed to run the engine.

Plastic rad cover? The part at the front? I'm a bit thick when it comes to naming parts so a better explanation would help me.

Cheers

Jon.

do you have Mk2 polo black carpet?

or one of the lights that goes on the rear bumper, I'm after the black trim that goes around it? http://i.imgur.com/LpSvkhP.jpg

If you do, drop me a text/call on 07415687834

HI, do you have a pair of door handle armor plates? A set of clear indicators? Tailgate plastic door card?

hi Jon,

yes it did and it's still running! The battery tray is composed of sheet steel riveted in then fibreglassed over the top so no, sorry, that's out of the equation. I did post up the repair pics when I did that many moons ago.... was it really all that time ago??

I'm sorry to have to report that my son has got rid of the whole car, scrappy took it away day before yesterday. I can't blame him, it was taking up space in his much needed garage and he really didn't have the time to remove all the small parts that were requested let alone anything major.

Plus he was anxiously waiting the arrival of his second daughter, happy to report all is well and mother and baby (and Father ) are all doing well.

Thank you for all the interest shown, once again sorry you could not be accommodated.

Cheers

Jon
