Hi,

I am looking to replace my horn in my 6n1 mk4 polo 97 plate. I currently have a horn in my car that barley works and my MOT is in march! :/

I am looking for a horn that can fit to the original wiring loom but doesnt sound like I stole it from a scooter.

I appreciate any and all help.

Any idea of the fuse rating and/or cable size, i would suggest an airhorn (most come with relays and so on anyway if you wanted to fit it to the stock loom)

Well you can either go get a standard/uprated normal horn or go for a pair of air horns.
Most standard and uprated horns will be fine and should be almost plug and play, Air horns may need to use a relay, but all that really involves i running abit of cable from the battery to supply the horns.

I myself have the twin Ring airhorns installed on my polo, the only advantage of paying the extra £5 from halfrauds compared to an unbranded set si you egta respectable name behind the product (ring) and a much better warranty.

Get yourself down the scrappy and look for big execative type cars, go nab the horn(s) of one of them (testing with a small 12v battery). Fitting is plug'n'play, so nice and easy. Now your polo will sound like a big-boy car - like mine!
