afternoon guys,

been a while since i posted on here but it's coming up to show season and i want to get the car as mechanicly sound as possible before starting any mad mods on her.

if i could have some help of you guys that would be muchly appreatiated :)

the first thing is an annoying rattling noise that occurs at around 2k revs when moving, i suspect it's a rattling shroud on the exhaust but just want to see if anybody else has experienced this?

issue number two is an infuriating noise that happens when starting the motor up, is a loud whooshing noise and drives me crazy, is it the starter motor? and does any body know how to get rid of the noise!?

thats it for now lads, got some really cool plans for the car ready for summer, can't wait to give her a good clean when we are blessed with some nice weather!

What Polo do you have?

First one probably is exhaust related especially if it does it when the cars stationary. Can be annoying....trust me!

The starter related noise is most likely due to dry bearings in the starter motor, you will need to remove the starter to sort this problem.
