so I've recently passed my test and decided that it was going to take to long for me to build my 1971 vw beetle so opted to look for a cheap daily, and this is what I managed to pick up off my boss for a mere £500.

its a 1993 mk3 polo boulevard breadvan 1 litre, with only 47000 miles from new, and I am the 5th owner.

the car its self is good enough to just jump in and drive, but I wanted to put my own mark on it, so, I'm trying to keep the work to 'student' budgets..

I have many plans, including lowering, and wheels, but a colour change is top of my list.

with the colour change on mind, I've opted to go for a fully smoothed body work but keeping the door handles. so its been de-bumpstripped and I'm waiting to weld up the 2 little plug holes at the rear next to the arch.

side repeaters, ariel, bumpstrips, rear badges and wiper will be smoothed off, also having smoothed front and rear bumpers.

Your student budget must be pretty big if u going to have a full respray. Body work is not cheap

Just said colour change, I painted my GT for £10

Mines sitting with 50 pounds worth of paint :)

I understand that I will be painting my jetta with 50 quid worth of paint.
