Normally the RED & YELLOW wires in the adapter have connectors on them so you can swap the red & yellow over to give it the memory

In the one connected to radio or one connected from iso to car?

Do they just pull out or have to solder?

Help lol

Between the radio and the original cars wiring connector.

Pin 4 Black/Red is the ignition supply

Pin 5 & 7 Red/Yellow is the battery live supply

How on earth do I get them out

Does the radio have plain wires comming from it or a connector? if it has a connector you'll need an ISO to VW adapter lead from the likes of halfords

Yes, cut and splice them

Is that hard work? Electrics ain't my strong point

Ok, on that note, the simplest thing anybody can do do is use side cutters or even scissors and cut the red and yellow about half way through and then strip about 15mm of insulation of each piece, then just twist the yellow from one side to the red on the other side and so on.
The next best is to either do the above and add crimped terminals so you can switch it if needed or use a flathead screw driver (small) and push the small tag in on the iso connection to remove the 2 pins, and then put them back in each other holes.
Heres a little drawing to show the basic concept.

As you can see you have 2 choices, either switch the pins shown as "pins" or splice the cables as show where the colours change in the diagram, if you have any terminals i advise you use them to make it stronger and switchable in the future, if not just twist them well and wrap in tape, do watch out as any tension on the harness will be put on them 2 cables if twisted because they will be about 30mm shorter than the rest and will be a weak point, but not to worry as long as you don't leave the stereo hanging out of the dashboard by the cables then it does not matter.
