Audi a4 2.8 quattro Derby

Featured Replies

Hi,

I got the car around easter time after searching for a good example and all I was finding was tatty pre facelifts, this came up for sale and was the best on going at the time. I've had a prefacelift saloon with the same engine a few years ago.

Its a facelift 2000 Audi a4 2.8 30v v6 quattro avant, its on 166k the engine and trans is all good I've never had a issue with either! no knocks, bangs or whines!

Mot is till 27/02/14, but I'm going to re mot it soon and 6 months tax.

Its got 4 brand new (less than 500 miles) Toyo proxes t1r's, and a brand new spare in the boot, budget I think. The wheels have been refurbed in vw atlas grey, no curbing.

I've replaced both the nearside upper arms as they had a bit of play in them, think they were advisories on the last mot.

I did pads and disks on the front when I first got it, so about 10k on them, I also replaced the nearside calliper as it had rusted solid.

The oil and filter was changed at the same time, as was the coolant.

I did a outer front cv boot on it, cant remember which side...

It had a new clutch on just before I got it

I had the bonnet re painted cos it badly stone chipped.

There is stacks of paper work with it and the service book its stamped up to 144k in 2011 and its been serviced every year from new.

Its got most of the toys you would expect, 4 electric windows and sunroof, climate control (air con is nice and cold) audi symphony head unit with Bose speakers (the head unit has tape and cd and I've added a aux in for phones/ipod), it has the full auto check system and obc. all its missing is cruse control.

Now for the bad bits,

The nearside rear door window never worked until I caught the button and it went down and never came up! so I had to manually put it up and I left the motor disconnected so it didn't happen again. I have never looked in to why it doesn't work as I don't sit in the back that often and it never bothered me!

The front right abs sensor is dead, its not a massive job to do so ill get it done asap.

The exhaust blows from the right flexi, again, not a big job so I'm gonna get it sorted.

The trim is missing off the bottom of all the doors, typical b5 a4...
