Hi all, Started a newbie section before thinking it was the build thread section so I'm pretty much just going to copy it here and start updating it(i'm kinda new to this forum thing). This is my first polo and pretty much my first vw, i bought a lupo before but just to fix it up after a wee bump and sell it on again. My first car was a corsa with a c20xe in it (2.0 out of a calibra) which was a silly idea as i crashed it after a few months !!

Second car was a civic coupe 2000,

Now for my 86c

Looking to make this handle as good as the civic did so any help is much appreciated, i planning on spending every penny i make on this car for a few months and not fitting anything till my insurance renews in may .

So far i have bought a set of banded steelies 13x7 with nanking 165/55/13's

a set of yoko advan semi's for summer time which i need a set of wheels for preferably wellers so if anyone has a set of 13x7 for sale give me a shout

a 4-2-1 monifold

G40 brake conversion (brembo disks, ebc greenstuff pads, black diamond hoses)

set of coilovers

g40 lights and clear indicators

planning on buying a full set of bushes this weekend

and looks like i will be getting a cage aswell

bought a new bosch fuel pump for a silly 180 quid and looks like it has had a new fuel tank recently aswell so that saves me renewing that

and gave it an on going service so far changed spark pulgs leads dizzy etc .

It needs a wheels bearing but I'm not going to bother with it till i fit the coilovers. I'm also looking for an exhaust and a set of g60 seats so i can reupholster them to go with the int. of the car

anyway i'll put up a few more pictures and update this as much as possible

Looks very clean, looking foward to the build thread. As for handling, many threads you'll find people buying subframes wich are meant to do great things for the front end, polo performance parts sell them.

That's going to be a culture shock in terms of power and specification going from the civic to a mk3, looks like a solid car though. I bet the corsa was mad to drive.

Holy hell did you spend that much on a fuel pump dude! Could have got an aftermarket one from £50 which is well up to the job, get it sent back if you can! Get some pics up of the other purchases (coils etc etc). Looks tidy :) Got a G40 Wheel if your interested!

Yeh I've started looking atthem recently . stage 3 one is a bit steep though. But il get saving and we can see what happens

To be honest the civic isn't really my type of car. I only kept it because of the handling and it wasn't that quick so its not something I miss to much. The corsa is the one I miss the most! Got the thing doing 145mph was quite a scary experience haha

I know but I had had quite a lot of hassle with fuel pumps and got a bit sick of it and just bought a new one to save anymore hassle. Car was off the road for about two weeks trying to figure out what was wrong because I bought a used fuel pump was told it was working but it actually wasn't.was a proper pain ha. And I've got a friend with a set of ra's available cheers anyway mate
