Here for sale is my mk1 golf, I use it daily and it's a joy to drive and often gets looks on the road and when parked,

Engine,

Millage 144000

1.6d 5 speed box bullet proof engine, runs very well and is quite nippy for what it is and returns an average of 50mpg!

It's just had a full service, oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, new rocker gasket, new sump gasket, recent battery and clutch cable.

Got a Cambelt recept at about 120000 miles

The body,

Not bad at all for a 30 year old car, it's had paint in the past but doesn't show any signs of poor repairs, the floor, sills, inner wings, boot corners inner arches are all very good, had a small patch to the rear sill and inner arch for the mot but nothing near the rear beam mounts. The paint is good but far from a show car, has small dents here and there but in my book adds to the character (patina).

Could do with some work to the rear arch corners/ rear panel but not all that noticeable, the inner arches in this area are solid. No sunroof model.

Interior,

Carpet a bit thin in places but comes with mats that cover the worst bits, the original seats have been replaced with some half leathers from a seat, everything works as it should, the wiper stalk has been replaced by a mk2 one to gain the intermittent wiper motion, heater only works in position 3 but blows nice and hot once the engine is warm.

Lowered on budget coilovers, not sure of brand, had new top mounts fitted for the Mot along with new brake hoses

14x6 " alloys with matching avon tyres with full tread on the front and about 5mm on the rear 15mm spacers on the rear with 16 new tapered bolts.

Lots of old mot certificates and receipts and comes with its factory number plates,
