Anyone owned one? or had the 1.9 16v lump in a motor?

Can't say I'm personally keen on them.

The Gordini turbos are a different story though!

They are very unreliable but mega quick, not many left and going up in value. I remember following one in my g40 and he floored it and left me for way behind.

I don't think reliability is as much an issue, when it's actually no longer got the 5 turbo lump in. I believe the f7x lump is quite well revered, and used in volvo dorifto mobiles.

I love the chavtastic looks, always have since I was a nipper!

I love the looks, when I said unreliable I was talking French cars in general.

Do it always loved them amazingly quick little cars and will be a classic one day so id keep hold of it if i was you

I know I will end up fully-loving the e21, when I stick the coilovers and 4 pots on the front, the apex springs on the back and the 1.9 16v lump in - but at the minute it's bare effort that I would rather spend on the vw's!

Plus something else I can get jump in and drive ( and bonus points for it taking 4 x 100 wheels )

I'll take a trip up to see it mid-week anyway and report back =D

My mate had one with 190bhp and that was scarey
