Rclick flipkey central locking kit

to do list:

wrap the roof (cover lacquer peal)

good buff to get rid of the slight fading

fix the slight rust on n/s/ wing

Gti splitter

maybe change of wheels at some point

Car is starting to fade a little, can anyone recommend a good polish, will no doubt in the summer be getting sprayed though :)

Auto glym - super resin polish, this is a good polish for hand use.

If you vinyl wrap the roof because of the lacquer peel make sure the surface is smooth otherwise you'll still see it.

cheers, the roof has mostly been pealed away and is smooth the stuff i will be ordering isnt really thin so i think i will be okay. Just to try and take your eyes away from it you can see it in the rain and sun so want it covered will eventually get it painted but until then vinyl i think is the answer :)

Also got her booked in at the end of the month for a respray, fix the dents, rust, and smooth a few bits not sure if i will keep the colour or go for another shade of red will just have to wait and see nearer the time.

thanks mate,yeah mate HID's running in the foogs (more hassle than its worth if am honest). having to rip them out and start again with them content blowing fuses

Aw that's a shame about the hid lights they look great was the central locking kit hard to do? as I'm going be doing it very soon too

looking into see what the issue is might go the the scrappies get the proper stuff to its mot

yeh was thinking either fixing the issue or just putting standard bulbs back in and getting yellow/amber tint film or spray for the fogs

well managed to get the roof done also done the front badge and mirrors will get a pro to do it once its been into the bodyshop but for now am happy with it...sadly not so much with the lacquer peal :/

was at the paint specialist in my area to see what the colour would look like in the flesh looks epic slightly darker than yours but you did say you added more white. cant wait for tomorrow finish stripping her down and start the real work

Ye man don't look to great on small sample but on car looks mint :-) they think it's white then there like no that's not white haha gonna look mint man

Cheers dude started smoothing the bumper recesses today hopefully get Alot done tomorrow the paint on Thursday buzzing but can't drive it cause the mot is out tomorrow so when it's painted straight to get motd so no fun until its all done

door checks done, now for the outside tomorrow once a few things are done, dents, rust smoothness

thanks, well it is your paint code hahaa... guy was running behind so i was so chuffed when we got some paint into her. more work today rust dents smoothness etc and hopefully later can get the paint on just wanting her back hate having no car

needing a good polish and wax, photos been taking with not really good light out..

hahaa i wonder mate .... i wonder needs flatted then polish/wax as its abit on the rough side but needed it back to get a mot on it so will do go and get it done, not 100% HAPPY with the front bumper but for 400 paint job with checks done i cant really complain to much
