You'll need to be more specific if you want a useful answer. What sort of wheels are you looking for, steels, alloys, flashy wheels or wheels to roll around the paint shop on etc.

Also, you don't have a mk1 if it's 1990. Chances are you have a mk2f (rectangular headlights) not that it makes any difference particularly to wheel choice.

Oh, is it a breadvan or a coupe? That will make a difference if you are fitting aftermarket (non-OEM Polo wheels)
