after owning my polo for 3 months now, I've made the decision to beef up the sound. I currently have the stock exhaust and cat and its ridiculously quiet. (Something I enjoyed at first) its that quiet you can barely hear the car with the windows down. I used to own a lupo with no middle box and a short backbox and that was abit ott but was still pretty loud when I had the stock system reinstalled. The question is would a cat and stock middle box tame the cherry bomb enough. Why a cherry bomb? Cheap and has a 2 inch tip, cos large bore exhausts look chavvy.

I run no cat and a length of 1.75'' tube instead if a middle box, and a standard back box... Sounds pretty meaty but not stupidly loud.

i found that most universal backboxs made my polo ridiculously loud, i had a decat and an induction kit before going to a full ss system and that sounded much better than standard

Id go for a custom system but I may recently become a homeowner and cant justify spending 200+ on an exhaust even 50 quid is a push, thst why I was thinking of a cherrybomb. I've listened to a few on youtube and theh werempretty quiet tbf

I've just brought a cherry bomb middle box and a cherry bomb back box, gonna make a full system for it, il let you know how it turns out. Also I've had a cherry bomb on the back of an spi with a standard system before and it was still near the annoyingly loud mark. What if you just removed the centre box and left the back standard

I did removing the middle box on my lupo and it sounded evil but got over it

Made it, spits flames haha still a little bit on the loud side but sounds like a rally car. Not all bad
