hello everyone!

here is gina my g40 :) she is a bit rough around the edges at the moment and has been standing for a long time but with some light restoration she should come up gleaming shes already been lowered 40mm all round I'm guessing as it doesnt look that low.

that was her when i first got her 3 weeks ago since then i have given her a good clean and polish

shes had a couple of little mods done to her, just stuff iv had lying around the garage

my plans at the moment are to:

get front wings resprayed

new exhaust

fix problem with dizzy

new brakes all round

new polybushes

general refurb of various parts

i want to make sure I'm happy with the car before i start squeezing power out of it as I'm happy with the power anyway

i anyone has any history of the car i would love to hear it from what i know its basically been sitting for about 2-6 years?

Wise thinking to et it running well before trying to up Bhp. Nice car but needs to lose colour coded bumpers.

not really much has happened to the car, iv taken the rear seats out today mainly because they damp and causing loads of condensation in the car and it smells awful! also i wanted to store them up just so there condition doesnt deteriorate.

gna get some hardboard and coat it with carpet just so it looks much neater, i might even spray it green as its quite rusty and scratched up.

hope to get it out of storage at the end of the month and start driving the little baby

She's finally home!

still got lots to do to tidy her up though but whats been done so far is

new disks and pads from this

to this

and a quick clean up of the wheels

a lot of other little things have been done aswell like fix a leak that was leaving a puddle in the boot (probably causing the damp), refit the bumpers as they were kind of falling off, fix the indicators a new dizzy and fuel rail and just a generall tidy up of things

where do i begin!

so my car went in for its mot today and i knew it was going to fail from the point of the exhaust falling off as soon as it hit the ramp which i also presumed as the last night whilst driving home it decided to do this

if you can see the 2 ears (bolts) that have been welded on they are completely useless well one of them snaped this morning as i was trying to make it even slightly presentable for the mot tester anyway its all a lash up and a bodge and its time for a new system.

anyway quick picture of the baby g being put through her mechanical paces

and the outcome. 3 pages of failure and advisories whilst also failing on emissions...by 0.086

basically she failed on exhaust, front right suspension, brake load valve leaking, rear brakes not sufficient, fog light not working

all has been ordered tonight so hopefully she can go for a retest some time next week

its passed! after a week of hard work she is now back on the road and driving much better which I'm very happy about

new exhaust was done on a budget unfortunately but I'm happy with it which is all that matters really

i have put a clamp on since the photo

i have also put a second hanger on and changed the rubber so it sits slightly lower as it was touching the bumper

still got lots of body work to sort out, hoping to do a head rebuild but that depends on funds, also thinking about a new set of wheels and tyres

What spec is the engine on this beast?

Thought about running a stag 2 frame

totally standard at the moment apart from a de wedged throttle body. want to get some other bits sorted before i start pushing up the power, and i may run a sub frame havn't decided how deep i want to get into the car in terms of modifying

well i am well overdue an update

not much has happened with the car just tried some new wheels on, there due a lick of paint but they will do for a runaround

also put some tinted rear lights on

hoping to get the front end sprayed next month as well as a smaller pulley and new belts and water pump and timing belt
