went to sign up for full membership today as I've just got a 6n2 gti to the collection,. ,.. on signing up on the paypal/clubpolo email/password page I found that the page was not signed in to a secure log in site or what every it is so I cancelled signing up,..I'm not much of a PC as said and I'm getting close to forty every year,.but I know when not to put in my password,.I've checked and been told to report it to paypal.

I've just checked it and Pages 1-3 of the joining process are none-secure pages. These pages take basic information which is generally available in the public domain; name; address; phone number if you want to give one (no need really, can't think why we'd ever use it); email. The only mention of payment is the third page asks how you'd like to pay (no details, just whether it's a one-off or rolling subs).

The fourth page directs to paypal who handle the payments, and this page was showing as secure.

I'll ask about making the initial pages secure, but I don't think it's really a big issue.
