SOLD THROUGH CP, THANKS. Mk2 Jetta, MOT+TAX, Lows and Wheels

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Here for sale is my 90spec Mk2 Jetta.

It came over from Ireland in '99, hence the nice ageless plate.

This doesn't effect insurance.

I've had the Jetta for just over a year, my father used it to get to work and back for the first 6months and then work began to make it something I wanted to drive. Simple modifications, nothing you can't change back to stock.

The Good--

1.3 5 Speed so cheap tax, insurance and pretty frugal with petrol. More than nippy enough and happy to sit at 80+.

MOT 29/07/2014

TAX 31/07/2014

138K, not too bad for a 23yr old car.

Factory option Heated Screen Washers.

The previous owners son, who sold the car for him, assured me that the head had been off and the valves redone, so I assume it would have had a new cam belt too, although I've no proof of this the engine does run very nicely.

In the past 5 months or so it's had-

New JOM Coilovers, still nice and free and easy to adjust.

New Heko Deflectors.

Bonnet Bra.

Porsche Cookie Cutters fitted with Steel 20mm Adaptors and New NS2 165/50 Tyres.

GTi Rear Spoiler, reasonably rare.

Reverse Lights Tinted Red.

The interior is in good shape for a 130k car, lovely Grandad spec blue, the third brake light and tow bar add to this effect

Everything works as it should.

The bad-ish-

The N/S doors I painted with cans due to very bad lacquer peel. It's not the best job but presentable.

There is a dent/scratch in the roof from where I went under a height limit with my BMX on my roof mounted bike carrier.... Fail.

Paints scuffed on the bonnet from running a Bra. May Polish up.

Rear tow eye cover is missing.

The Rabbit badge in the pics isn't on the car anymore, took it for my MK1, so 3 stainless bolts are in the holes currently. I do have a Jetta badge in several pieces you can have :D

I know you say you want an mx5, but would you consider working a deal on an e36 328i coupe. On hsd coilovers staggered z3 wheels and other bits. More fun than mx5 (I've had one of those too!)

Ugh. If I'd sold my Lupo I'd definitely been snatching this off your hands! GLWS

Sticking to my guns now, sorry mate, no thanks.
