Hi all I'm Andy, I've been lurking around trying to figure out what I was aiming at for about a year and now at 34 years old I'm ready to take on the commitment of Polo ownership and learn to drive!

I've taken the plunge and rescued a 1985 86c 1ltr breadvan from a dismantlers much to my wifes dismay and the amusement of my peers.

I've been around the dub scene(s) for many years and even though I dont drive I've had a few:

1982 1500 Mk1 Golf cl,

1984 1300 Mk1 Jetta lx

1972 1600 Fastback TA

1962 Seaspray buggy

1969 1300 Beetle

So as you can see I quite like a bit of German rust!
The Polo is my first vehicle for 7 years after a bit of a break but now the wife has passed her test and has her Mk2 Golf it's my turn.

I'm not scared to take stuff apart but WILL be needing you guys and girls advice and knowledge in the putting back together phase so be prepared for some stupid questions from me in the coming months!

Cheers Matt, yeah I've racked a few up over the years, always with the intention of learning to drive but things (kids,mortgage etc) have got in the way. Hopefully this time it'll be a different story!
