Polo 9N3 both electric window fault

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I'm facing the electric window fault on both my windows. It's strange fault as I can get the windows to work sometime but most they don't work. In order for me to get them to work I have to remove the fuse and reinsert it. This doesn't work all the time though. I've tested the motors and they are both fine. I think the problem maybe with the controller board which is with the electric motor.

In the non working state I push the button down and up and there no movement in the motor at all not even a click.

looking to order new one soon but has anyone come across this?

Also does anyone know the Part number for white plastic grommet holder? it's located on the driver side door where the loom connects to the main car loom.

See the white plastic piece there there should be two parts to it, the one shown fits into the bodywork and the other which i need the grommet fits on to. Can someone help me out on this. Thanks in advance

If you have access to VCDS/Vagcom, the motor control can be tested and it should also produce fault codes, a generic code reader might not pick up these codes!!

Excellent thanks!

I'll see if I can find my VAG-COM adapter. Haven't used it for a while (2003)
