1.0 6n2 using leaking alot of oil and dropping cylinders

Featured Replies

My 6n2 was driving normal today with a bit of white smoke and then started spitting oil from what looks like a rocker cover gasket which is leaking into the plugs and causing them to not spark, my engine went into what i believe was limp mode and wouldnt go past 20mph diddnt matter weather it was at 2000 rpm or 5000 rpm still exact same power any help would be appriciated! Is this a common fault or am i just the unlucky one, I've seen on multiple forums that to remove the rocker cover you have to remove the cams and reset the timing on these things, I'm a training mechanic but have never come across anything like this, i was hoping someone had previously had this problem and knew a way to fix it?

Thanks.

Welcome to the Forum.

Are you saying that when in a certain gear, the engine can vary between 2,000 and 5,000 RPM without a change in road-speed??? If this IS the case, it sounds very much as if the clutch is slipping.

Please advise if I am not reading your post correctly.

Regards.
