How do I take the steering wheel off a 6n2

Remove the airbag

Removing

WARNING

Disconnect battery earth strap before working on electrical system. – Turn steering wheel -1- until horizontal spokes are vertical. Pull out steering column completely and press down to lowest position. – Insert a screwdriver, about 5 mm wide and angled to a length of 55 mm, in hole on back of steering wheel hub. – Turn screwdriver 90°, circlip -2- is pressed off lug in steering wheel hub and airbag unit is released on this side. – Turn steering wheel back 180° and release second retaining hook on opposite side. – Grip airbag unit by horizontal spokes and lever out of vertical anchorage.

WARNING

Electrostatic discharges may result in unintentional triggering of airbag. Therefore, the mechanic must electrostatically discharge him/herself before disconnecting the igniter and earth wires. This can be done by briefly touching the body or striker plate of the door. – Pull connectors off airbag unit.

Then undo the big nut!!
