Can anyone point me in the direction of some decent 4x6's so I can mount to the factory mounts, as my 2f was speaker less when bought 2 weeks ago. I know the higher rms the better but I'm looking to spend no more than £100. Nice one in advance.

jvc are good value for money

google car audio security, they are good

Hertz make really good spekers, JBL is also good value for money brand.

+1 on car audio security but their ebay shop is cheaper than their website.

Same product and company just £8 cheaper on ebay.

I try to stay clear of jvc because they tend to be cheap and nasty and those hertz look like decent speakers but a bit down on power.

I can second JBl for value for money, i currently run dual jbl gto 1000w 12" subs and 3 x jbl gto 2000 400w 2ch amps and 1 x jbl gto 4000 4ch amp, these amps are over 10 years old i believe, and they don't die, that 400w peak amp is kicking the subs insanely, i would love to show the windows and roof flexing, not to say its damaged my mirrors, but i doubt a recording would capture it.
When it comes to speakers its alot better to overpower them then under power, if you go for some lets say 90w RMS speakers, your 30w RMS (ish) stereo amp is going to struggle and distort massively after little volume, if you over power then you only run the risk of damaging the speakers not the amp (in your case the HU).
So for clarity i would advise something with a lower RMS if you are running it straight from the Hu, if not i really advise a cheap used amp from ebay that can push atleast 75w RMS and you won't regret it.

I'm looking on getting a decent pair of either 5 or 6 inch speakers and making some pods for the doors and maybe some decent 4's for the dash or tweeters, two low profile subs for under the seats, a hidden amp in the passenger foot well and the 4x6's in the back. Meaning brilliant sound with excellent space and not looking like a knob :P just need some 4x6's everything else I can sort.

Loudest.com stuff is ok but dont expect great quality.

I went Rockford Fosgate all the way. Sub amp would do 3600w @ 0.5ohm stable!!!!!

Don't just look at the wattage rating, some companies claim 1000 watt speakers which would blow taking 200 real watts.

Fosgate amps are meant to be really good and actually do make the power they claim

They do, but you will pay alot for the power, you won't believe how loud them 2 gto 2000's (400w each) and the 2 jbl 1000w subs are, although you may find it hard to believe, i have a ring dual airhorn fitted to my polo, when the stereo is anything above 35 (70%) there is no chance of hearing the airhorns from inside, my stereo is currently on -10db for the sub (and it goes up to +10) and its still way to loud,

Well I've bought a pair of 5 inch speakers for the doors now and I got a decent pair of 4's for the front but I still need to source some 4x6's.

I was thinking of scouting a pair of kappa's the yanks seem to love them... but then again they love all kinds of shit :P

What Infinity Kappa range?
If so I've heard some good stuff but the only real experience I've had was a really nice 15" infinity kappa sealed sub, and that thing was insane.

Or to save you time they all say no. It doesn't really matter any way because they're only your rear speakers.

But looking at the specs they look good. Looking at the reviews people seem happy with them.

I had some Bassface 6x4's,..and for the money i paid which was £20,.. I couldn't really fault them.
