After Market Snap Offs

Featured Replies

Hey guys, seen quite a few of these and really like the look of them and feel when driving (drove friend's old golf with one) but could anyone explain this for me..

I have a 6n2 polo, if I want to change to an after market snap off I will need;

a boss,

a snap off hub,

and of course the wheel, but is that it?

I have the wheel but does anyone know where to get the boss and hub at a reasonable price?

and if I wanted just the aftermarket wheel not to be snap off i'd just leave out the hub?

thanks..

That's all you need yes, be very wary of the cheaper snap off bosses, they will give play in the steering, I'd personally only buy a D1spec, sparco ect.

Try eBay mate.

they are cool untill they snap off when going round a corner and you lose all steering.

Personally I wouldn't buy something like this off Ebay too many cheep knock off's kicking about Demon Tweeks sell em.

Or as you launch from the start of a drag strip and fly off into the crowd :-(

Makes me laugh when people just leave their wheel hanging from the mirror, what's the fucking point!?!?

For a road car doesn't a quick release boss have to be lockable ?

As in not just like a Motorsport one, like a secondary method of securing
