I paid a hefty price to have them 0.5micron REAL gold plated via: http://www.protechfinishing.co.uk/

the chrome is from germany via german ebay- ebay seller is: clean-chrom.

No one over here really does chrome plated boot lock mechs due to the fact you need to take apart the mech to dip etc...so expect to pay around £40-60 for a good one from across the pond (feel free to correct me on this, if you know someone that can help members out here).
