Hi all, i've just bought this car and at some point in the past it has been jacked up on its floor pan and sills. I've taken a few pictures, would anyone in the know be able to advise me on whether this is mot fail or not.

What type and age is it?

Sure mine's passed with sill seams in worse state than that. But my car always offers plenty of other distractions for the tester.

Is the corrosion (the rust not seam) anyway near the seat belt anchorage point?

Tester will probably shove a sharp probe in to gauge how bad it is..

looks alright to me , although id straighten it with some pliers and clean off all that loose underseal then repaint it so that the rust doesnt get any worse

Yeah as said just some bad jack damage or curb damage pull it straight with mole grips and then coat in something

I've given it a good stab with a driver and it seems solid all along, thanks all.

I decided to leave it how it was and the MOT tester didn't say a thing :)
