I have been quoted 2600 a year!?

to be fair that's about right. you'r the wrong age, gender and in the wrong car to get cheap insurance

No way I'm gettin rid of the polo gettin ripped off it is.

just to be clear, people arn't advising 'fronting' the insurance which is illegal

if your young and want to drive insurance is high. thats just how it is, take it on the chin and enjoy your car

I'm with CoOp young drivers, its one of them black boxes so no mods allowed and its heavily limited! but i pay 1300 a year on my 1.0l 6n2

I was with co-op last year and the black box isn't bad, as long as you don't go out after 11pm and before 6am then its fine.

I'm with diamond this year was £720 with 1 years NCD and would have been £790 with 0 years NCD. But I'm 19 driving nearly 2 years.

You probably won't even be able to go with co-op black box due to cars age.

if you live with your parents, you can have them as the owners and main driver with you as a named driver. how can the insurance know that is front. its when you are stupid and have you as the car owner with them as the main driver, or, your have your own place with the vehicle registered there, your parents as the main driver and you as a named. that's hwo I see it as. id like someone to really clear it up how they prove fronting. anyways, if your parents have a clean record then add one or both as named drivers. I had my mum as a named because it knocked 200 quid off, but now the law changed and when it did the price went up. its actually cheaper for me to be insured by myself but my girlfriend is on with knocks up the price by about 100 quid. even though shes 4 years older clean record .
