1.3L 4 Speed MK2 Breadvan - Full MOT - Lowered

Featured Replies

Right i'll make things clear before i list things about the car, it is not 100% ready to go yet, it was running sweet as a nut untill last week when it developed an ignition problem, this will be fixed before i sell the car. So all being well I hope that she will be ready within 2 weeks.

So she's a F reg MK2 1.3 breadvan, pretty good condition all round really, few little dings and someone has touched up the paint on the sills here and there with a different shade of red, but it's not that notticeable. I bought it from ebay back in october as a project car but i've now bought a MK1 golf as a project instead so i've just done the polo up to sell. It had been stood for year untill i got her but she flew through the MOT. Before the ignition problem she ran a treat, ticked over and revved up nicey. So here are all the good points

- Full MOT 2 weeks ago

- Full service 2 weeks ago

- New vaccum advance unit ($90 from america)

- New fuel pump

- Lowered 60mm all round

- Brakes have had a service

- Carb has been stripped and cleaned

- LED sidelights

- LED interior light

- LED number plate light

- Pool ball gear knob

- Rear window sticker bombed

- Glove box sticker bombed

- Wiring ready for a headunit

- De wipered at the rear

- New aero wipers on the front

- Will be freshly polished before sold

- Low milage (78,000 ish, will confirm soon!)

Bad points

- Few little dints here and there, nothing major

- Paint has been touched up in a few spots, again nothing major

- Drivers seat adjustment wheel is broke in half (Does not affect how it works)

- Small oil leak

- Windsceen has a few scratches (I imagine they can be polished out?)

And i think that's about it really, i will keep this updated as soon as things change, i'm having a day on it tomorrow to see if i can find what the problem is. As soon as she's running perfect again i will polish her and get her sold.

She currently has standard steelies on with original wheel trims on (quite rare, cost me £25 for one when i lost one!) but i do have some baby G60's with stretched tyres that i will sell if they are wanted.

I also have a set of cominc book wrapped door cards i will sell if wanted.

I am after £750 OVNO, i'm located in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.

Right then, update:

The car is now running fine, it's half polished and will be finished in the morning all being well so she is pretty much ready to go!

As the car is not taxed or insured i can only allow a test drive up and down the street but it's fairly long so you should get a good feel.

She's polished up a real treat despite the few touch ups and odd dent here and there, genuine tidy little motor.

If i don't get much intrest i will pop her on ebay :)

Hi mate

did you find out what was causing the problem? Also has the timing belt been changed recently?

  • Author

The previous owner told me he had change the cambelt and it looks fine to me, no cracks ect.

The faults was that the timing was out and the king lead had a poor connection, all have been sorted.

Okay cheers mate, i'll have a think

This item/s has now sold.
