1991 mk3 Polo Classic Saloon with G40 engine conversion - low milage

Shell/chassis details:

  • Capri Green (code: LA6U)
  • Shell - low mileage; approx 70,000 miles from new with all old MOT's
  • all green-tinted window glass
  • Excellent bodywork condition (battery tray original & still solid)
  • PPP Stage 2 subframe (handling/rigidity and road manners)
  • 40mm AP suspension kit (shocks & springs). ~2500 miles on the car
  • "G-Laderseite" nylon anti-roll bar blocks
  • Polo G40 front calipers & vented disk brakes
  • VW 14" steel wheels
  • Yokohama A539 185/50/14 tyres all round, all good tread depths
  • Polo MK3 GT front seats (good match to the dark rear bench)
  • Golf MK3 steering wheel
  • CAT2 immobiliser fitted with certification for insurance
  • Pioneer CD/radio fitted
  • Full size spare wheel, usual VW tools
  • Lots of history/paperwork

Engine details:

  • Low mileage - dash clocks match the engine
  • 65mm v-belt pulley
  • Jabbasport chip
  • GT inlet manifold
  • exhaust decat pipe - CAT not required for MOT, passes emissions tests
  • G40 Supercharger:
    • rebuilt by me 11/13 - new bearings & oil seals, but apex strips kept as they were still like new; rebuilt with parts, tools & assistance from PeteG40
    • previous rebuild by PeteG40 autumn 2010
    • previously Jabbasport have worked on this 25/07/2001 & date stamped with "JS 036 - S4" - I'm assuming Jabbasport 'Stage 4' - all 3 main internals stamped the same 'JS 036'
  • est ~135-140 bhp
  • no problems, no fluid leaks

Things I should mention that have been done within the last year / 1500 miles... it didn't need all of this doing, but I get a little bored and/or OCD:

  • charger rebuilt (see above)
  • service: air/oil filters, oil, coolant & bottle, waterpump & timing belt, sump & rocker gaskets
  • clutch kit & cable - Sachs MK4 AFH 16v kit
  • gearbox stipped & checked by Stephen A Brear gearboxes in Leeds
  • replaced passenger side outer CV boot
  • replaced both front wheel bearings & hubs
  • replaced all exhaust rubbers/mounts
  • silicone pipe charger to intercooler

General:

  • milage: 65,159 - may increase slightly
  • MOT: 27/07/14 - last MOT 26/07/2013 @ 63,929
  • Tax : 31/08/14

Lots of pictures - mixture of old & new

MOT certificates from just after and then just before the engine conversion, you can see that the shell has ~4000 more miles on it than the engine / just some of the paperwork

I've only really driven the car on the occasional day to work and some weekends instead of the TDI. I don't actually need a second car right now - so it's sat there, taxed, tested and insured (and it's looking increasingly like I'll be needing the money for a house)...

Price is £2200; the car is in Batley, West Yorkshire, near Wakefield, Leeds...
