For sale is my Polo 6n2 1.4 8v.

It's an SE spec meaning it has a lot of optional extras; fog lights, rear speakers, bigger side skirts (same as GTI ones), electric windows, electric sunroof, power steering. It would make a great first/second car as it's a low insurance group.

I was planning on keeping this car for a while but due to having 2 other polos I will have to sell it. This meant a lot of work was carried out when I bought the car.

Work done: (all done around 5000 miles ago)

*New recondition gearbox + new clutch fitted at a cost of £650 with reciepts. If you're looking to buy this model of polo it is a must for it to have a new gearbox fitted because they fail any time after 60k.

*New cambelt + water pump

*New handbrake cable

*New rear shock absorber

*Rebuilt rear drum brakes as they were sticking.

*Full service 1 year ago including spark plugs

*New rear drivers side tyre (matching the other side and all have very good tread)

*New exhaust section as it was blowing. (was done 500 miles ago)

*Pretty much all the bulbs have been replaced one the car recently.

Good points:

*New gearbox

*Absolutely no problems mechanically.

*Tyres all have good tread 4mm+

*6 months tax

*Been fully machine polished so paint on a whole looks very glossy and in good condition for age.

*Very very well looked after in my ownership, cleaned properly at least once a week.

*Interior is in good condition no wear to bolsters, no rips, no fag burns.

*Badges are vinyl wrapped and fog lights wrapped with yellow tint (I can remove this easily if wanted).

Bad points:

*Body work is tatty on the front edge of the drivers door, surface rust.

*Bonnet has rust on leading edge but can't be seen if using bonnet bra (included)

*Age related marks, scuff and crack on passenger side bumper (good condition used one included in sale)

*1 months MOT but has had loads of recent work so will pass.

On the whole I would be confident to say this is the best polo you could buy for £500. The gearbox has been done which is the main problem with these cars, it will be a lot cheaper to repair the body work than it would to replace the gearbox. Absolutely no problems mechanically.

£500, this includes bonnet bra. This price is factoring the cost of sorting the body work.

Mileage is 96500 but will go up slightly as still in daily use. Passenger side electric window has stopped working, think it's the motor which are £20 on ebay.

Airbag light has come on due to me pulling the fuse out
