1991 mk2f Breadvan 1.0

Featured Replies

Due to a change of jobs I am now travelling 60 miles per day on the motorway so require something a bit more motorway friendly.

Make: VW

Model: Polo 1.05 4 speed manual

Year/Reg: 24/09/1991

Mileage: 62k miles but will rise as in daily use for work

MOT: 22/05/2015

Tax: end of 07/14

Good points: Low mileage, good condition, just passed it’s MOT on 07-05-14 and is valid until 22-05-15, runs absolutely spot on. The car has rear coilovers and lowered springs and shocks at the front, it rides and handles really well. Currently running on Golf mk2 smoothies, with 4 brand new tyres last month, I have a spare golf smoothie also that has been refurbed but without a tyre on, the car comes with some spare yellow steel wheels all with useable low profile tyres on as well although these could do with a refurb.

The interior is in good condition, no rips on the seats or head lining. Has a snooker ball gear knob, other than that it's standard.

Recently had a new sump and sump gasket fitted, along with an oil and filter change. Previous owner had changed the clutch at 57k miles, brakes at 54.5k, a new dizzy at 54k and a new exhaust at 51k miles and is a truck mechanic and looked after the Polo really well. The car has upgraded front speakers and a retro/vintage style radio attached to the parcel shelf that has been converted to work as a speaker that can be plugged into the head unit J

The car runs really well, idles properly, doesn’t over heat or misfire and has no hesitation, it’s not the fastest thing on the planet but it easily gets 45 mpg, and never fails to start and hasn’t let me down even once while I’ve owned it.

Has pressed plates and yellow bulb headlamps, they look great :)

Bad points: Has previous MOT’s but not a massive amount of history, the previous owner was a mechanic and did the work himself, but it’s a good car and has been taken care of by him and me.

The heater blower only works on the highest speed, faulty resistor and common issue.

Some slight marks on the body, small shallow dint in drivers door, and rear drivers arch paintwork not the best

Drivers side sill has been pushed in a bit by someone being careless with jacking up I presume, but is solid and no rot etc

Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire

Somemore pictures on photobucket, please note the golf front splitter is no longer fitted to the car, and also the beaded seat covers aren’t fitted but will be included in the sale, as well as the roof bars (halfords ones although I do have a Thule retro style roof rack that I sometimes use on this and looks awesome, this isn't included in the sale but can sell separately. I’ll get more pictures this weekend J

Price: 795 ovno, please no daft offers, I know there are cheaper ones and prices vary massively, but it's well worth this and I won't let it go for silly money. It's a good solid car and runs great, if I didn't do so many miles per day I wouldn't be selling it to buy something more modern and boring.

Contact details: 07857 944139, if i don't answer please text and i'll respond ASAP. Viewings more than welcome, please bring proof of insurance and license for test drives, although I am more than happy to take you out for a spin if not :) any questions please ask away, thanks for looking, Tom.
