annoying problem developed this morning. My speedo and rev counter on my polo stopped working. Fuel and temp guage work fine.

Rev counter sits at 0 but kind of flickers up and down a tiny bit and continues to do so for 5 secs after engine is turned off.. Speedo stays at 0 regardless.

its a 96 1.4, older style dash cluster.

any ideas pleeeeeease?!

clocks will be broken, need replaced unfortunately.

Strangely enough ot worked fine on the way home from work. Think a new set of clocks is in order as a precaution.

Before you spend your money, suggest that you check the earth connections behind the dash, theses are common to both instruments.
