Cheap mk2 golf 1.6 tdi

Featured Replies

Recently bought this from a friend of friend to slam and run it ratty for my mrs to use for shows etc.

She doesn't want it now (typical) so I want it gone as I'm mid resto on a bay camper and this is in the way!

Iv only had it a few weeks.

It's 1990 mk2 5 door 1.6 tdi

It's done 108k

mot November and sorn off the road.

It belonged to a farmer who used it to drive to the pub an back. He managed to hit a parked car and took it off the road as it split the rad a pushed the slam panel/bonnet inn. The guy I bought it from replaced the rad and knocked the front back out. Ideally wants a new slam panel and bonnet but I was just going to hammer it into shape and use it ratty haha.

It's completely stock and original but very tatty. I stripped all the interior and carpet out as the sunroof leaks and I wanted to check the floor. It needs a

Patch on the drivers jacking point, small one on the rear turret and I think there was a small hole under the passenger seat but to be honest it not bad at all an has mot til November so there plenty of time to sort them out.

It also needs an oil cooler as it's started letting the oil into the water, pretty common on these. Could always just take the cooler off and bypass it to save money but either way it's a pretty simple job and well worth doing because it drives pretty well. I was surprised how well it pulled!

It has scratches and dents etc etc but it's definitely worthy of a set of coilovers and some tlc! I was thinking of breaking it as I know the engines fetch a few quid but I haven't got the heart to pull it apart. If I wasn't mid restoration on my camper or I had space to store it I would be sorting out the niggly bits and keeping it for myself

If your interested give us a pm or call/text on 07879770343

I only want what it owes which is £250

Located in Eastbourne

Would be cool to see another mk2 tdi slammed and on the road 👍
