This forum has got the shittyest picture upload on the net

so how come you can use a 1.4 16v in class 2? also how are you fitting the restrictor?

well Bob nice to see a polo 6n coming out in class 2, i take it that your using the 1.2 16v motor, what was wrong with doing the plain old simple option the 1.3 1296cc a valve motor, that way it wouldn't need to be experimental. plenty of them about, i should know just bought 4 of em and with out sunroofs

hi all

as it stands as you no autograss class 2 is dominated by only 2 cars 1.3 nova's and 1.2 k10 micra's...which are becoming very expensive and hard to find....

I along with another 4 people sent letters into the nasa directors asking if we could build and race different types of cars under an experimental adventure and most directors agreed along with the chief scrutineers.

We told them what cars we would like to try ie 1400cc 16v

they set us some rules to stick to and one major rule was that it had to remain standard under the bonnet that mean that we don't need to fit a restrictor

the 5 cars that will be coming out is

polo 1.4 16v (me)

fiesta (which is out)

punto

corsa

clio

hope this answers your questions

If they are deemed to be faster than the currant class 2s...which I very much doubt it.. then we will be looking at some sort of fitted restrictor..Dom

Same goes for ecu's they will be sealed

Great to see another class 2 coming out. I was in class 2 a couple of seasons ago with a mk2 escort, but only novas and micras where competetive. good luck getting this one out.

Mark has found a way that does allow you to paste into the reply, if you look at the top left of the reply box, there is a little grey box that looks like a light switch, if you click on that, the rest of the top bit becomes greyed out, but you can then paste ( ctl v ) your IMG codes or anything you have copied, then click the "light switch" again if you want to type with a different colour, add a smiley etc then post button as normal and the picture etc will show :D :D :D

Awesome mate. Hopefully get to see yours racing if I do I'll make sure I come say hello. I race for star but still no racer :( hopefully some point this year tho.

What sort of power are novas? Surely not 100bhp with restrictor

  • Author

Top class 2s put out around 105 bhp @ flywheel a 32mm. A restrictor when setup properly is quite large for a 1300cc engine
