Got a 180mm 084 clutch and flywheel and a 085 gearbox and no release bearing. Could buy a 085 clutch kit but won't fit my 180mm flywheel or could just buy a release bearing but don't know if 084/085 bearings are interchangeable!

Any ideas?

I'm 99% certain I reused the the release bearing with new 190mm clutch moving from 084 GX to 085 8P.

Look for the part numbers on vagcat?

Part numbers are different which is what made me wonder!

Could buy a release bearing and give it a try, but have found a 5 speed clutch kit for pennies so am now on the lookout for a 190mm flywheel.
