How did you here about us?: Brother

Hello I'm Dan, 17 from Coventry and have recently picked up my first car. I considered a mk2 Golf 1.3 for a good while, but I just do not think I would be able to cover the car + insurance costs, so I went for a Polo Parade Coupe 1.0. Saw it on Ebay with a few minutes to go, bidded £190 and won it and 30 minutes later I was on the train to Macclesfield to pick my car up :D

1994 with 71k Miles on the clock, we hit 80 MPH on the journey home and probably could of got a bit more out of it but that was enough for us  He needs some work, going to get a complete repaint as I'm not totally keen on the color right now, going to get some BBS wheels but not until the main parts are done yet.

Some pictures below, some of you may have seen this when it was on Ebay.

Will be looking for parts in the future so look out for posts from me if you're selling anything for this model.

It's got a pretty bad patch of rust on the lower rear end of the car, unsure whether to plate over this or cut it out completely and weld a plate back in, any ideas if you can buy panels like that for these?

Engine was surprisingly clean and showed no signs of any oil, which was a bonus.

Any ideas on what color I should repaint it? I will make a progress topic once I start on it, haven't had chance as it's been bad weather all week!

Exactly, which is what I wanted as I'm still doing my lessons it gives me time to prepare this bad boy for when I've passed my test, I think it was around 9-10months MOT and a few months tax left on it which is decent, thanks for the feedback

Bloody cheap motoring right there! Cracking price.

Best of luck with your lessons and tarting the polo up!

Edit-

And don't change the colour dude.
