MOT test - when?

Featured Replies

I'm trying to sell my car because I need a bigger one. The MOT is due in August and it says the earliest I can present

for an MOT is some date in July (can't remember exact dates). Obviously people will be put off with it's short MOT, is there anyway of getting

a new MOT? My friend bought a car last year which had about 4/5 months left on MOT and the garage put a new 12 month mot on it for the sale...how did they manage that?

You can take your car any time for an mot. The dates will start from the date u mot it. So yours runs out in August but if u take it now and get an mot it will then run out in 12 months time so in May. If taken after the date in July it will carry on from the date in August. But if you are not worried about losing that month take it now.

Yeah just take it early just means you will loose some time but who cares its going any way.

Definatley will,

A girl in the office at work was selling a mint ( and I mean mint) Nissan Micra Mk1 7 month tax and no test for £400.

It was up for sale for months without a bite I told her to take it for test she did and it passed.

She put a card in the local Morrison's for £450 and it sold the same day crazy what a bit of test will do.
