I am Interested in a SWAP/PX for a more eco car. Preferably diesel, things like VW, Audi, Mazda, Saab etc. I am not interested in Saxo's etc.

Here for sale is my OBD2 Mk3 golf VR6 2.9 (ABV). Originally a 2.8 OBD1 this has benefited from being fitted with the higher power Corrado OBD2 2.9 engine. All work was carried out a long time prior to myself having the car. I sold my 2.8 to buy this at the time and you can feel the difference.

L Reg 11/1993

Lowered suspension with shock and springs, BBS alloys, Straight through exhaust including decat, 10mm performance HT leads, Momo steering wheel, Bespoke gear shifter, 3 door in metallic black. 170,000 miles on the body, Lots of paperwork and receipts.

Bodywork is clean and straight. The sills have not been crushed and are rust free. The arches all look to be solid. The passenger arch has suffered from the usual rust at the bottom, which is a common thing on Mk3's. Arches can be bought very cheap on eBay. The bootlid could do with replacing, again this has suffered from the usual mk3 rust around the bottom of the window. All the trim is very clean and will not fade. This has been sprayed satin black to stop the trim from going grey. The sill trims are not fitted, parts are needed to fit these such as the bit which sticks to the body and the thin top covers for each side. This can be had cheap on ebay or relevant forums.

Interior again is clean for its year. There are no rips or tears and it is clean and tidy. As above it benefits from a Momo wheel. Due to the driver wheel being changed to a non air bar type the bulb has been removed from the airbag light. This was done by the previous owner, I would have put a resistor in myself instead of doing it that way.

Wheels are original BBS. They are not anything special and could do with a sand blast. They are just painted white and lacquered.

Interested in a MK4 Golf estate TDI?

151k, MOT till January, Tax until the end of july. 45-55 MPG. Mostly a tidy car but got hit in my work car park, I've replaced the headlight but would benefit from a wing and bumper. Could repair the existing panels with some know how and elbow grease.
